Bring any website onto the canvas

The desktop app now has a browser. Open the Browser panel in the left rail, type an address, and bring what you see onto the canvas.

  • Take a screenshot of the page, or import the whole page as layers.
  • Use the element picker to import a single section, a card or a button.
  • Pick a device to preview and import at that width: iPhone, Pixel, iPad, MacBook or a desktop size.

Layers you can edit

Imports are rebuilt as real layers, not a flat picture.

  • Rows and columns come across as auto layout, with the page’s gap and padding.
  • Text keeps the page’s fonts when they are available.
  • Remote images are embedded in the file, so the design still opens offline.
  • Pego falls back to a pixel-exact image only for the parts layers can’t express.

The agent can browse too

Ask the agent to open a page, import a section of it, or look at screenshots while it designs. It uses the same browser you do.

A faster canvas

Right-click menu

Right-click a layer for the actions you reach for most.

  • Copy as SVG, PNG, React + Tailwind, HTML/CSS or JSON.
  • Paste here, or Paste to replace the selection (⌘⇧R).
  • Add or remove flex layout (⇧A, ⇧⌥A).
  • Flip horizontal or vertical (⇧H, ⇧V). Flip now works on any layer.
  • Hide or show a layer, and turn Clip content on or off.

Resizing

A selection shows four corner handles. Drag an edge anywhere along its length to resize from that side.

Watching the agent work

The layers the agent is working on show a soft loading shimmer and a single “Generating” label. Its cursor on the canvas now just says “Pego”.

Home and projects

  • Pego opens on Home instead of a new untitled file. Your open tabs are still restored.
  • Move a project to the Trash from Home. You can recover it from there.
  • Document tabs now sit in the title bar. An agent run keeps going in a background tab while you work in another.

Settings and automatic updates

  • A settings window with General, Editor, Agent and models, Shortcuts and About.
  • The macOS app updates itself, so you stay on the latest version without downloading it again.
  • On macOS the title bar is hidden.
  • The window chrome follows the editor’s light or dark mode.
